Classic Sausage Lasagna

Baked sausage lasagna is a classic Sunday dinner in many homes, but this family favorite is perfect for any day or occasion.

- Yields: 9 servings
Ingredients
16 ounces Golden Grain Lasagna, uncooked
1, 15-ounce container ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs, beaten
4 cups (1 pound) shredded mozzarella cheese
2, 28-ounce jars pasta sauce, any flavor
1 pound bulk Italian sausage, cooked, drained, crumbled
Directions
1Preheat oven to 350°F.
2Cook pasta according to package directions, drain well.
3While pasta is cooking, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, eggs, and 1 cup mozzarella cheese in a medium bowl; mix well.
4Spread 1 cup of pasta sauce in the bottom of a 13x9-inch baking dish.
5Arrange one layer of noodles lengthwise over sauce.
6Spread half the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles, then sprinkle half the sausage on top.
7Spoon half the remaining pasta sauce on top of the sausage, then sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top.
8Repeat layering of noodles, cheese mixture, sausage, pasta sauce, and cheese with remaining ingredients.
9Bake, uncovered 40 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
10Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
Cook’s Tip
Use ground beef or ground turkey instead of sausage for a different flavor.
Serve with a fresh green salad and warm bread to complete your meal.

I’m retired senior also in the west coast and I miss Golden Grain pasta noodles….I really like the lasagnea recipe right on the box and I found it on the internet…

I have grown up on Golden Grain pastas, and I am a retired senior now—shows you how long I have eaten it, and I think it is the best pasta there is. Their recipes are always the best.
I am very disappointed that where I live on the west coast so many stores have stopped carrying Golden Grain Pastas. I hope I can order them on line but I haven’t had a computer to check but our son bought us one and we got it yesterday so now I can.

I have been making the golden grain lasagna receipt for 60 years
It is still my favorite go too.
No other receipes measure up in my opinion also live on west coast. And am sorry no one Carrie’s the golden grain marinara sauce it’s the best
